Our Terminal

OUR COMPANY

A multipurpose gateway at Port Harcourt Port

Ports and Terminal Operators Nigeria Limited (PTOL) was established in 2004 following the Federal Government of Nigeria’s port concession programme. PTOL was awarded the concession for Terminal “A” at Port Harcourt Port and commenced operations in 2006 as a multipurpose terminal handling containerised cargo, general and breakbulk cargo, dry bulk, liquid bulk and project cargo.

Located in the Gulf of Guinea within the Port Harcourt Port Complex, just off Industry Road and approximately 24 nautical miles from Bonny and an additional 17 nautical miles from the Fairway Buoy, PTOL Port Terminal (Terminal “A”) occupies approximately 101,879 m² of land adjacent to the Bonny River, with a stacking area of approximately 50,000 m². PTOL operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including public holidays.

Over the years, PTOL has firmly positioned itself as a key asset for its stakeholders, providing both absolute and comparative advantages to businesses and logistics operators. The strategic vision is to elevate Terminal “A” into a leading multipurpose and container sub-hub serving the Eastern and Southern regions of Nigeria. PTOL has witnessed substantial growth in the handling of both import and export cargoes, supported by strong relationships with international and domestic stakeholders who increasingly recognise PTOL as a preferred terminal in the region.
